By taking a broad scan of a community’s quality of life, ASR’s community assessments set the foundation for collaborators to make collective impact.  ASR’s Santa Cruz County Community Assessment Project was the longest running community assessment project in the country (1995-2020).

​Other assessments have focused on a variety of populations, such as youth, children witnessing domestic violence, farmworkers, veterans, older adults, and the Black/African Ancestry community.
