Maria Usacheva, PhD
Senior Research Analyst II
Dr. Maria Usacheva has joined ASR in 2022. She has over 7 years of experience in applied translational research that directly informs child, youth, and family welfare policy. Maria’s research focused on development, implementation, and evaluation of universal supports, as well as prevention and intervention efforts that promote healthy child growth and development and family functioning.
Maria’s peer-reviewed publications may be found in various journals, including Developmental Psychopathology, Child Abuse & Neglect, Child Psychiatry & Human Development, Women & Criminal Justice, and Journal of Emotional & Behavioral Disorders.
As part of the ASR team, Maria supports the vision of strengthening communities through evidence-informed solutions, with the vested interest in optimizing long-term physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning, as well as positive mental health outcomes in children and families, particularly those, disproportionally exposed to adversity and structural inequalities.
Outside of work, Maria spends time with her husband and two children, attending their sports events and extracurriculars. She also enjoys spending time with family friends and working in the garden.
