Chandrika Rao, MS
Senior Management Analyst
Chandrika Rao has worked at Applied Survey Research (ASR) since 2012. She has over 20 years of experience uplifting non-profits, foundations, and government programs, including managing and evaluating programs and training a broad audience in different content areas to strengthen and sustain programs.
As a Senior Management Analyst, Chandrika works extensively on school readiness projects, including assessing children, training teachers, and evaluating the projects across many counties within California and other states. She is deeply involved in evaluating various FIRST 5 programs in Contra Costa, San Francisco, Santa Clara, and Solano counties. Also, she manages the SAMHSA Collaborative Courts grant for the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara.
Before joining Applied Survey Research, Chandrika had worked internationally for many years. She also worked as a data management specialist at Silicon Valley Education Foundation for their summer math program. In addition to her work at ASR, Chandrika is also an Advisory Board Member at Colorful Minds, a non-profit organization working with persons living with disabilities in developing countries to provide them with livelihood opportunities.
Chandrika was born and raised in Bangalore, India. She received her master’s degree in Psycho-Social Rehabilitation from Bangalore University, India, and her second master’s degree in Health Services Leadership from Boise State University, Boise.
In addition to her professional work, Chandrika enjoys coloring with her daughter, traveling to discover new countries with her family, and is an avid reader and a professional henna designer.
