Helping Los Angeles Community-Based Organizations Improve their Impact in the World

ASR is delighted to announce a new evaluation of the Organizational Spirituality Initiative (OSI) to help support 13 community-based organizations in Los Angeles County in improving their positive impact in the world, and in nurturing a more supportive working environment for members of their organizations.

The OSI is a two-year initiative guided by a leadership framework developed by John Ott and Rose Pinard, founders of the Center for Collective Wisdom.  According to the Center for Collective Wisdom, "Now more than ever, organizations must discover new ways of doing and sustaining our work. We must cultivate our capacity for collective wisdom to guide our efforts to support and amplify the wellbeing of our staff, our board members, and the people we serve."

Over the next two years, the 13 organizations will engage in a series of two day seminars,  webinars,  skill building, guided practice, coaching and technical assistance from the Center.

John Ott has designed and led collective change efforts for over 30 years and Rose Pinard has worked for decades in the field of organizational development and organizational psychology, with a particular focus on group dialogue as a process for transformation. The project is funded by The Angell Foundation which builds upon the charitable promise of David and Lynn Angell by promoting and advancing high-impact programs in the areas of social justice, arts, education, youth, and spirituality.
